WW1 Memorial Benches

To commemorate the start of WW1 the Parish Council shared in a service at Kingsnorth Church naming the 11 residents from the Parish who lost their lives in the Great War.

A memorial to those who fell is inscribed in the Church gates and their names listed inside the Church.

To remind people of the enormous tragedy of the war and to respect those who lost their lives the Parish Council, along with Borough Councillors with wards in Kingsnorth, purchased four WW1 memorial benches to be located around the Parish. One is located in the Moat area at Park Farm another overlooking the Community Orchard behind the Church.

The Parish Council has supported two village green applications and to mark their success one bench has been installed in the new village green at Riverside Close and another is waiting to be installed at Joys Wood once the application has been finally approved.
